This vinyl record of traditional Victorian Christmas carols, was recorded using the talents of a full orchestra and ensemble of singers, conducted by the Juilliard graduate Robert De Cormier. Although recorded in 1984, “A Victorian Christmas” was created with the intent of paying homage to an authentic Victorian Christmas, as every aspect of the album, especially the back cover, is dedicated to delineating the history and characteristics of Queen Victoria’s Christmas. One can be transported to Victorian England just by listening to the nostalgic music that pays tribute to some of the most famous carols of that time.
