Written in 1888, Christmas in a Snowdrift is a short romantic narrative. This Christmas miracle was published in a periodical called The Argosy. It begins on Christmas Eve with Alison Lloyd stuck on a train because of a snowdrift and ends with Colonel Pomeroy, a man she barely knew many years before, proposing to her on the following day, Christmas.
